Raised beds  ~   various

Raised beds are great for growing vegetables, fruit & flowers!

Any plants that require regular maintenance will be better off raised for your ease of access.

If you think of seed-sowing, transplanting, watering, weeding, pruning and harvesting - it's an ergonomic solution.

In the first picture (the only one I have of that two-day project) the beds are 7 metres long.

The lawn turf was cut and lifted from their areas and the area surrounding to make a path.   All the turf was flipped and reused in the beds.

Pathways were made from woodchip given for free by a local arborist - the path would need more woodchip to be added to every year or so.

The last 9 pics are of a simple replacement of the old rotten timbers with scaffold boards (2nd-hand scaff boards are one of the most cost-effective building material for raised beds)
